Liz Hopkinson Wildi is an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor with more than 23 years of experience working with clients. She provides supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists working privately, within agencies and for the NHS.  

With a background knowledge of the12-Step treatment programme for addictive diseases, Liz trained and worked as a counsellor for three years at Bruce Lloyd Consultants, London (1986-1990) an agency specializing in working with addictive family systems, co-dependency and family of origin issues with recovering alcoholics and addicts.  During this period she gained a Certificate in Psychodynamics of Counselling from the Lincoln Clinic and Institute, London.  Since 1990 Liz has run her own therapy practices (in London, Bedfordshire and Sussex) working with clients individually, in groups and in couples.

For many years Liz supervised casework of counsellors at the national cancer counselling service CancerBackup (then BACUP).  She has supervised counsellors and psychotherapists working for London Primary Care Trusts (including Smoking Cessation and Cancer), on Employee Assistance Programmes, for a Women’s Mental Health Counselling organisation and working privately.

 In 1999 she helped to form the Cancer Counselling Trust, a national charity based in London, and served on the first Board of Trustees and the Management Committee.  She was a Trustee for some four years which included a period as Chair of the Board (2003).  During this time she also gained some experience of the Constellation method of psychotherapy and – using her former experience as an editor and journalist - now edits the Eco-psychology constellation writings of colleague psychotherapist Zita Cox. She is a former student of the University of Sussex (BA American Literature 1978).

Liz has undertaken additional training in Couples Counselling and Group work.
She is an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and subscribes to the Association’s guidelines for ethical practice.
She is a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist. Liz currently sees clients at 46 Harley Street, London W1.
